Young Creatives Socials: Casting Workshop with Kira Freije

Join Turner Prize-nominated artist Kira Freije for a rare opportunity to step inside her sculptural practice and learn the casting techniques used to create works in Unspeak the Chorus.

In this session:

You will work directly with Kira Freije, exploring alginate and plaster casting techniques used in her figurative sculptures. Create casts of your own hands while gaining insight into the materials, processes and ideas behind the exhibition. Together, we’ll consider how sculpture can capture gesture, presence and the body in space.

All materials will be provided. For ages 16-18.

Our free Thursday evening Young Creatives Socials are a relaxed space for ages 16–18 to meet other young people, experiment with creative techniques and work with professional artists within the gallery.
