Explore Olivia Plender’s exhibition through lino printing inspired by botanical imagery, hidden knowledge and collective making.

We’ll begin with a tour of Olivia Plender: Little Fennel’s Complaint, focusing on the exhibition’s plant drawings and ideas around women’s healthcare histories and alternative forms of knowledge. Back in the Studio, we’ll learn introductory linocut techniques and carve our own print blocks inspired by Plender’s botanical forms.

This session is part one of a two-week linocut workshop series, but can also be attended as a standalone event.

For ages: 16-18

Our free Thursday evening Young Creatives Socials are a relaxed space for ages 16–18 to meet other young people, experiment with creative techniques and work with professional artists within the gallery.

We offer a range of facilities to ensure we are accessible to visitors. Please click here to find out more about visiting Modern Art Oxford. If you have any questions about your visit, please get in touch at info@modernartoxforg.org.uk.
