Closing Weekend Celebrations | Goodbye For Now!

We are currently working with RIBA award-winning practice, David Kohn Architects, on a transformational refurbishment of our ground and lower-ground public areas. This means we will be closed from 26 May until October 2024, but before that we’re getting together for a closing weekend celebration.

To say goodbye for the summer, we are hosting a weekend of activities, workshops, tours and music. Join us on 25 and 26 May to celebrate our community and the end of our crowdfunding campaign, where we hope to raise £25,000 thanks to your generosity. Let’s celebrate our community and say farewell to our old ground floor spaces before they’re transformed into a brand new community gallery, basement Cafe, Shop, welcome area and more!

What’s on:

Saturday 25 May:

1-1:30pm | Curator-led tour of Frieda Toranzo Jaeger: A future in the light of darkness.

3-11pm |  YWMP Presents: No 80. Festival – Celebration of ‘otherness’

Sunday 26 May:

1-1:30pm | Curator-led tour of Frieda Toranzo Jaeger: A future in the light of darkness.

All weekend:

Join us on the closing weekend for 25% off all orders in the Café, and a double discount in the Shop for Friends of the gallery.

Enjoy our facilitated Creative Space with activities based on our current exhibition. Perfect for a family day out, explore collaborative ways of creating art, guided by our Creative Space facilitators. Bring along your best creative ideas and create your very own works of art.

Make the most of the closing down sale in our shop, where you can find merchandise from previous exhibitions, local makers and more.
