Creativity in Motion: 29 November
Explore Movement and Creativity with Jane Castree
Dive into the world of movement and choreography in a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere. Led by professional choreographer Jane Castree, these sessions draw on her expertise in contemporary dance and contact improvisation. Start with improvised warm-ups, then engage in structured tasks that encourage you to discover and expand your unique movement possibilities. Open to adults of all mobilities.
Accessibility and Inclusivity
Each 3 hour session is open to adults of all abilities, with or without prior dance experience. Movements can be adapted to be performed seated or standing, and all activities are suitable for wheelchair users or those using mobility aids.
Each session begins with a movement-based warm-up, which you can do seated or standing and at your own pace. You’ll then explore choreographic ideas, with opportunities to share your thoughts through drawing, writing and conversation. Refreshments are included, with time for breaks and getting to know others.
Tickets are pay-what-you-can: £15/£18/£21. Free spaces are also available. To book, email Lois at lois.janecastreeand@outlook.com

Jane Castree is a choreographer and community dance artist working with movement to create open and accessible opportunities. Jane is interested in the concept of binary culture and its role in perpetuating discrimination, asking for audience participation and feedback. Her choreographic work invites people to consider ideas and concepts from alternative perspectives as a way to imagine a more open and flexible world.
