Join a welcoming community of adult learners engaging with classic ‘art school’ texts from major figures in contemporary art.

At each session we will discuss a section of a seminal work, covering current and wide-ranging topics to inspire, in a relaxed social space.

In this session we will explore Donna Haraway’s A Cyborg Manifesto: Science, Technology, and Socialist-Feminism in the Late Twentieth Century. Touching on fundamental contradictions in feminist theory, and the merging of machines and organisms, we will unpick Haraway’s depiction of the cyborg together.

Tickets include: a copy of the selected section of the text and a complimentary drink.

We offer a range of facilities to ensure we are accessible to visitors. Please click here to find out more about visiting Modern Art Oxford. If you have any questions about your visit, please get in touch at info@modernartoxforg.org.uk.
