From Brooklyn: Johanna Unzueta’s Art Diary Part 4

From her home studio in Brooklyn, New York, Johanna Unzueta has created a series of short films giving personal insights into her exhibition Tools for Life at Modern Art Oxford.

In this art diary entry, Johanna shows us her sketchbook of drawing experiments dating back to 2013, including a sneak peek at the very first sketch that developed into her signature organically inspired, geometric drawing series.

Filmed in her art-filled home studio, Johanna shares the process of making her recognisable chain sculptures. You may spot that the sculpture is an early prototype for larger felt works, some of which feature in her exhibition, Tools for Life.
