What are the political, personal and environmental worlds we breathe in?
Re-visit our participatory discussion from 13 October 2020, which brought artists, practitioners and researchers together to discuss the topic of breath. Supported by TORCH as part of the Humanities Cultural Programme, this talk accompanied Breathworks, Modern Art Oxford’s digital project whichinvited audiences to engage in creative storytelling about breathing.
Breathe in deep – this talk features relaxing breath exercises led by Patsy Isles for you to enjoy while watching.
Thanks to our fascinating panel of speakers, who were: Alice Sharp, Artistic Director, Invisible Dust; Patsy Isles, yoga teacher, writer and creative wellbeing practitioner; Derek McCormack, Professor of Cultural Geography at The University of Oxford; and Lucy Sabin, Modern Art Oxford’s Creative Associate (Digital) and Breathworks Project Lead.
