WESTGATE PUBLIC ART PROGRAMME:
INVITATION TO ARTISTS TO REGISTER INTEREST
The Westgate Oxford Alliance (Land Securities in partnership with The Crown Estate) has commissioned Modus Operandi to produce the Public Art Strategy and curate the Public Art Programme for the new Westgate development in Oxford city centre.
The Westgate Oxford Alliance are keen to invite artists living and/or working in Oxford and Oxfordshire to register their interest in being considered for art commissions; permanent and temporary. The programme includes a small number of permanent art commissions throughout the site, as well as temporary commissions for hoardings leading up to the opening (Autumn 2017) with an on-going temporary programme thereafter.
The selection process will be overseen by an Art Panel and include representatives from the Westgate Oxford Alliance, Oxford City Council and County Council, Modern Art Oxford and Modus Operandi.
Artists wishing to register their interest in being considered should send 10 jpegs of recent work and a link to their website together with a CV if not detailed on their website.
