Join our free Thursday evening Young Creatives Socials for ages 16-18, where you can connect with other young people, work with professional artists, and discover your own creativity in a relaxed, fun environment.
In this session:
Curating Workshop
Working in groups you will curate a participatory events programme in response to the Belkis Ayón exhibition. You will explore the different roles which make up the curatorial team at the gallery, and work within a budget to plan a full events programme to engage audiences with the exhibition’s themes.
– Hands-on experience: Learn the process of curating events inspired by a major exhibition.
– Explore curatorial roles: Understand the different responsibilities within a galleries curatorial team.
– Creative problem-solving: Work within a budget to design a full events programme.
– Team collaboration: Develop teamwork and communication skills by working in groups.
– Career insights: Get a taste of what it’s like to work in cultural programming.
In our weekly Young Creatives sessions, you’ll get to work with professional artists, collaborate with other young creatives in Oxfordshire, and discover your artistic voice.
