Family Tour | Ruth Asawa: Citizen of the Universe for ages 0-10
Explore the intricate shapes and organic forms in our Ruth Asawa exhibition with interactive activities for ages 0-10.
Join our Creative Associate, Angela Stattersfield for a series of family activities in our exhibition Ruth Asawa: Citizen of the Universe.
Ruth Asawa was an artist, educator and activist. During the session, you will use paint, charcoal and fabrics to create your own art and explore natural materials, paper folding and colour play. Immerse yourself in the creative world of this extraordinary artist.
And add your mark to our The World Reimagined sculpture in the Creative Space. The sculpture is one of a UK-wide trail of Globe Sculptures as part of The World Reimagined, transforming how we understand the Transatlantic Trade in Enslaved Africans and its impact on all of us. With artists, schools and community groups taking part, the trail will inspire pride in what it means to be Black and British and help us all better understand what it means to be British. Mills Brown, the artist leading the project at Modern Art Oxford, will be on hand to help you take part in this work of art.
Angela will lead two sessions on Saturday 9 July, from 11am-12pm and from 1-2pm.
Tickets are £4.50 and one ticket admits one child with one parent/carer.
Please note: children must be accompanied by a parent/carer.
