Trusts & Foundations
Modern Art Oxford raises 100% of its exhibition and education programming costs from private sources and, as such, relies on support from Trusts and Foundations to guarantee the on going success of our programmes. Support from Trusts and Foundations enables projects to take place that otherwise would not be possible. Modern Art Oxford is extremely grateful to the Trusts and Foundation who have supported us in the past, and looks forward to many more exciting collaborations in the future.

Local Secondary Schools
City as Studio is a professional development project for young artists led by artist and fine-art tutor, Kate Mahony. Working with individuals, schools and community organisations, Modern Art Oxford commissions young artists to produce original short art films in response to a curatorial brief. Workshops and week-long residencies provide experience to develop skills in film-making and performance, and the professional presentation of creative works encouraged by the team at Modern Art Oxford.
Professional development for volunteers
Modern Art Oxford hosts an annual exhibition co-curated by our volunteers that invites people living in Oxfordshire to submit creative responses for an interdisciplinary exhibition exploring everyday creativity. The 6-month project offers professional development opportunities for Modern Art Oxford volunteers in collaboration with Oxford Brookes University, creating opportunities to access and participate in the arts.
Supporting emerging talent
Celebrating new artistic talent from across the South East, Platform Graduate Award is a series of solo exhibitions by selected BFA graduates from University of Reading, Oxford Brookes University and The Ruskin School of Art, University of Oxford. The initiative supports emerging artistic talent to further their practice, and awards one outstanding artist a £2000 bursary and mentoring from a professional artist.
Children and Young People
Working with community organisations and front-line charities, Young Visiting Artists offers introductory, creative workshops for children aged 8-11 years to explore and confidently enjoy the exhibitions and spaces at Modern Art Oxford.
