Photographer and Activating our Archives participant Dave Dooley shares a series of powerful photographs of Oxford offering alternative views of a complex city, curated in response to this year’s Activating our Archives themes, protest and play.
“I had come to realise that over time my images in and around Oxford were focusing on the margins rather than the postcard view of the city. I guess I had started to politicise my views in a pictorial sense, increasingly disappointed by the widening social and economic gap between gown and town.”
